Want an amazing exercise that requires minimal equipment?  Want that same exercise to help improve your posture after spending so much time hunched over in front of your computer at work?  Fantastic.  Look no further than the seated band row.

Next, as you are practicing your own band rows at home, here are a couple tips to keep in mind to keep your form on point:

  • Avoid shrugging your shoulders up.  Keep you shoulders “pulled down to your armpits.”
  • Keep your core zipped up tight.  Think about sitting tall while compressing down your rib cage instead of letting it flare out.
  • Keep your gaze forward instead of looking up or down.  This will help keep your upper back from rounding.
  • Don’t rush.  Practice keeping your form in check and not racing through repetitions.
